Jackiev asked:

Does anyone have a good recipe for a holiday drink that both kids and adults would enjoy?

Jackie, here is a very simply punch that I have made many times.

Simple Sherbert Punch (approximately 20 servings)

  • 1 can of pineapple juice (46 ounces)
  • 1 bottle of ginger ale (2 liters)
  • 1/2 gallon of sherbert (any flavor)
  • 1 package of raspberries or cut strawberries (4 ounces)

Pour the chilled juice and ginger ale into a punch bowl and add the berries. Scoop the sherbert on top of the punch and serve immediately.

I also like to serve non alcoholic egg nog.  The kids love it.  The frozen hot chocolate is another option that I bet would make a big hit with the kids.

Thee best, best holiday drink for both kids and adults is the Mulled Apple Cider.  I love the William and Sonoma ingrediants.  All you need is the Mulling Spices, Five Apple Cider Concentrate, Cinnamon Sticks, and hot water.  Here is the directions.

Mulled Cider
In a saucepan, gently simmer 1 quart apple cider and 2 Tbs. mulling spices for up to 20 minutes. Remove the spices and serve the cider hot in mugs garnished with a cinnamon stick, or chill and serve over ice as a cooler.

Happy Holidays!!!!
