Pepper-Peanut Beef Kabobs

The combination of two ingredients native to tropical America, peppers and peanuts, occurs in these kabobs. In Nigeria, where they are served hot off the grill, they are very very spicy.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups Pasilla chiles, crushed
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef, cut into 1 1/2- to 2-inch cubes
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 1 1/2 cups peanuts, crushed

Directions

  1. Marinate the beef in the beer for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Roll the beef cubes in a mixture of the peanuts and chile until they are completely covered.
  3. Put the cubes on skewers.
  4. Grill over charcoal until done.
