Oranges Mexicano

Ingredients

  • 2 organic seedless oranges
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 3/4 ounces Cointreau or Triple Sec

Directions

  1. Peel the oranges. If membranes are tender, cut into rounds; if they are tough, section and remove membranes.
  2. Sprinkle the orange pieces with sugar.
  3. Squeeze lime juice over fruit and gently mix until all pieces are well-coated.
  4. Macerate in the refrigerator.
  5. Just before serving, add the liqueurs and stir together. Serve in stemmed glasses.
