Ingredients
7 cups organic crimson gold apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter or margarine
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large baking dish, combine apples, lemon juice, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Pour water over apples.
In a separate bowl, prepare the topping: combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Using a fork, cut butter or margarine into topping mixture.
Once mixture resembles coarse crumbs, spread over fruit mixture.
Bake 50 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
