Zoli Loft & Bath has collaborated with artist Steven Quartly and Quartly Fine Art to design a limited edition bath vanity series. The vanity will be sold in select kitchen and bath showrooms and art galleries with only 20 pieces being produced worldwide and speaks to a micro-niche demographic with discerning tastes and a love for collectable art.

A vanity for those with an eye for original art

Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (Chicago, IL, April 16-18, 2010) - Zoli Loft & Bath has teamed up with Quartly Fine Art to design an exclusive, limited edition bath vanity series that features the original work of esteemed artist Steven Quartly. The Loft & Bath Series Limited Edition Art Vanity will be sold at select kitchen and bath showrooms and art galleries beginning immediately. With an exclusive offering of just 20 pieces produced worldwide, the series speaks to a micro-niche consumer demographic with a discerning taste in décor and a love for collectable art that includes actual brush strokes from the artist’s hand.

Quartly’s original art is featured on the streamlined, modern face of the Util 51 Program vanity from the Loft & Bath Series. The vanity is available in three sizes and displays a 17" x 37" canvas the artist calls "Ascending," which was inspired by the Mediterranean’s Amalfi coast. "Ascending" is a mixed media print created from the original oil-on-canvas painting.

"Only 20 people in the entire world will own our Limited Edition Art Vanity," explains Farshad Tafazzoli, Luxury Brand Manager for Xylem Group. "Each art vanity in the series is unique in that each mixed media print is actually hand touched with brush strokes from the artist’s palette. And since no two brush strokes are alike, each piece has subtle variations." Tafazzoli also points out each Loft & Bath Series Limited Edition Art Vanity comes with a Quartly Fine Art Certificate of Authenticity that is signed and dated by the artist Steven Quartly, and indicates the number of the piece in the series of 20.

"I found the scene during a stay on Italy’s Amalfi Coast," says artist Steven Quartly. "I threw my paints on my back one day and rode my scooter up and down the coast looking for inspiration. I stopped on a hill looking at the Mediterranean through brilliant red flowers reaching for the sun. I called it ‘Ascending.’ The vision just had so much life to it," recalls Quartly, who began his professional career selling his work in arty Laguna Beach, California. Now in approximately 22 galleries, Quartly’s work has drawn a following of notable collectors. In addition, his art can be found in a gallery in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and he recently lent his painterly touch to a wine label.

The Loft & Bath Series Limited Edition Art Vanity Series was kept small to allow Quartly to add his own brush strokes to each piece. "I do everything myself," says Quartly, who explains many mainstream artists use publishing companies, interns, or an assistant to produce their limited edition series. "I believe it’s important to the integrity of the piece that the artist have a hand in it," he continues. "An artist has a finite number of strokes to apply to canvasses through the course of his lifetime, so I wanted to add my personal touch to this project."

The Loft & Bath Series Limited Edition Art Vanity is manufactured in Spain with European craftsmanship and features a polyurethane coating to protect the artwork from water damage. The design of the Util 51 Program wall-mounted vanity, which allows for combining up to three vanities side-by-side, is classic contemporary. Cabinets are equipped with a large storage drawer and slow-close guides. Three finishes are available: Wenge, a rich grayish-brown with copper accents, Maple, and Plomo, a grey oak.

The vanity comes in three widths: 29-1/2, 37-3/8, and 47-1/2 inches. All are 19-11/16 inches high and 20-1/16 inches deep. And all Loft & Bath Series vessel sinks in stainless steel, concrete, glass, or porcelain and under-mount sinks in porcelain are compatible with the Limited Edition Art Vanity.
