California Cash for Appliances - Qualifying Appliances Eligible for Rebates
From California Cash for Appliances
The rebate period starts April 22, 2010, and lasts until May 23, 2010, or until the money is gone. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The amounts of the rebates are:
- Eligible Refrigerators - $200
- Eligible Clothes Washers - $100
- Eligible Room Air Conditioners - up to $50
About Appliance Eligibility
To qualify for a rebate under the California Cash For Appliances Program, the appliances must be Energy Star®-rated, listed in the California Energy Commission Appliance Efficiency Database, and meet the following requirements:

| Clothes Washers | 1.6 Cu Ft or greater | CEE Tier 2 or higher (1/1/11 EnergyStar threshold) |
| Refrigerators | 7.75 Cu Ft or greater | CEE Tier 2 or higher (25% less power use than federal standard/5% less than Energystar threshold) |
| Room Air Conditioners | 10k Btu or greater | (Standard EnergyStar threshold) |
