Too many cooks in a kitchen is typically a recipe for disaster, but a new cooking site called
Cookstr is looking to reverse that with their collection of recipes from cookbooks written by some of the world's most renowned chefs, including Jamie Oliver, Mario Batali, Nigella Lawson, Jacques Pepin and
many other cooks. New chefs, cookbooks and recipes are added daily and the recipes are organized into easy-to-decipher categories, such as Main Ingredients, Holiday/Occasion, etc. But if you're not interested in browsing, use their search engine - it'll display the recipes you're looking for with options for refining those results. You'll be able to pinpoint the exact recipe you're looking for!
Each recipe (one of my favorites being the
Tuscan Bean Soup) is displayed in an attractive format with pictures of the chef who created the recipe and of the recipe book it appears in. It also provides a link to purchase the cookbook, typically offering several retailers to choose from.
There are also sections that seem to have not been built out as of yet - "Menus" and "Tips & Techniques." Looks like they've still got some cooking to do!
