Making New Plants from Cuttings

Do you love to garden but high nursery prices are getting you down? Why not make your own plants. I’m not talking about starting from seed – I’m talking about plant propagation. It sounds intimidating but it is really quite easy. Propagating plants not only saves money but it’s also a great way to pass on your favorite plants to friends and family who also love to garden. Some of my favorite plants in my garden were grown from cuttings that my mother gave me. To get started propagating your own plants you will need a few basic supplies such a rooting medium, a small container, some clippers, and most importantly a cutting of the plant you want to reproduce.
