Gingerbread House Goes 2.0!

Therein sit three Victorian-era rowhouses covered in snow, a warm glow shining through the orange-tinted windows, Christmas wreaths hanging on the front door - all ready for Christmas. As you look closer, you admire the many details and beautiful craftsmanship, like the carmelized sugar panes...wait, what? The last time I created a gingerbread home, it was a pre-fab kit with all the walls cut out, the windows pre-drilled, and the cookie tree ready to be placed in the front yard... Barry C. Parsons from Newfoundland has been creating these fantastic replicas of his neighborhood for the past twenty years! And it's one of the many gingerbread dream homes featured in This Old House's Astounding Gingerbread Houses gallery. Get inspired to create your own gingerbread house and enter it in their first-ever This Old Gingerbread House contest until December 15th! More awesome creations!
