I cannot get enough of West Elm, a furniture retailer that designs affordable, stylish furniture for everyday, modern living. Their ever expanding collection of furniture, lighting, linens and accessories combines global materials with clean lines and sensible proportions. Collaborations with artisans abroad as well as design notables such as Benjamin Moore, Allegra Hicks and David Stark have resulted in many unique pieces you won’t find anywhere else.

I just got their fall catalog in the mail and it doesn’t disappoint! The new catalog features furniture and accessories from markets and workshops around the globe. Here are some of my must haves!

A limited edition version of their already popular Essex Ottoman - upholstered with traditional dhurrie rugs from Agra, India. No two ottomans will be alike since the patterns of each dhurrie vary - a great way to get a piece of unique and original furniture at a great price. Essex Dhurrie Ottoman-Geo, $599.

Wall art with a twist! I love this grouping of animal sculptures made from paper mache. A much friendlier option than a real animal head don’t you think! These were made by artists in Haiti in collaboration with the nonprofit group Aid to Artisans – another reason to feel good about these animals! Papier Mache Animal Sculptures, $19 - $149.

I’m usually not a fan of leather sofas but this sofa looks just like a classic chesterfield style sofa – maybe that’s why they call it the Chester sofa! It’s the perfect sofa for a library or a living room. And how did they know that gray is one of my favorite colors! Chester Tufted Leather Sofa, $1,699.

This chest of drawers looks like something straight out of Architectural Digest. The sleek design and brushed nickel hardware really give it that high-end look but at a much more accessible price. Niche 6-Drawer Dresser, $499.

Made from loosely woven twigs and reminiscent of a birds nest, I love the natural and textural quality this mirror has. I think it would look great above the more refined Niche Dresser shown above! Twig Mirror, $169.

Set these free form ceramic vases on top of the Niche Dresser, hang the Twig Mirror above and you’ve got something good! The soft colors and organic shapes of these vases are so beautiful! Discord Vases, $9 - $39.

This mix and match dinnerware designed by David Stark is so fun! I love how David juxtaposed the natural theme of tree rings with the gleaming gold finish and how each piece features a different tree ring design. Fine china for everyone and it’s dishwasher safe! David Stark Wood-Slices Organic Dinnerware, $36 - $50.
