Eco-Friendly Wallpaper That’s 3D!

Posted August 1, 2011.

Bring your walls to life with WallArt’s 3D wallpaper. Okay, actually it’s not wallpaper but instead, they are wall panels that fit together like tile to create unique textures and patterns on your walls. And one of the best things about this product is its GREEN!

This is one of the most innovative and eco-friendly wall treatments I’ve seen in awhile. The raw material used for the production of these 3D wall panels is called bagasse, which is the fibrous residue remaining after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract their juice. Because sugarcane can be harvested up to 3 times in a year, bagasse is one of the world’s most renewable resources. It’s also compostable and 100% biodegradable, so at the end of its life cycle, it won’t fill up our landfills. This product is definitely a great alternative to those embossed vinyl wallpapers!

Currently, WallArt offers twelve unique designs that come in 19 ½” square tiles that form 3D patterns when fit together. The panels are sold in packages of 12 which cover approximately 30 square feet of wall space. Although the wall panels only come in white, they can be painted to fit any décor.
