Ah, Time for Iced Teas

Having grown up partly in Indonesia, I have been lucky enough to have been exposed to Teh Botol. Teh Botol literally means "Tea Bottle", and I feel sorry for anyone deprived of this sweetened jasmine tea. Much like the significance of American culture with Coca-Cola bottle symbol, the Teh Botol bottle is found deeply rooted within Indonesian culture. Street vendors and 5-star hotels alike will carry this glorious beverage in the same fashion. Cheap, delicious, and refreshing, Teh Botol is the perfect iced tea. Though being the United States, a country where choices are relatively abundant and free, I unfortunately haven't not encountered this particular brand, or any other jasmine tea that have come close to similar standards. I do, however, have favorites of American flavors brands, and if you haven't tried these be sure to expand your taste buds and give them a try. Best Low-Calorie Tea: Paradise Tropical Tea. Though teas are naturally low-calorie, so many brands add all sorts of chemicals and sugars that decrease it's health value. Paradise Tropical Tea has less than 1 calorie per serving, and even with no sugar, artificial sweeteners and preservatives the flavor is still naturally sweet. Best Tea Philosophy: Honest Tea is not only a great brand producing delicious teas, it's a brand that has morals. Being community supporters is an important aspect of their philosophy. They've helped First Nation and Community Green causes, are fair-trade certified, and encourage recycling. Drinking Honest Tea not only quenches your thirst, it kind of makes you feel like a better person (only if you recycle your bottle after finishing!). Best Iced Tea for Variety: Lipton Iced Tea. Some may consider tea and Lipton to be synonymous. This brand is universally renown for it's classic flavored iced tea. With so many variates of flavors, packaging, and products; Lipton has created a brand that refuses any reason not to have it around. On the go? Get it bottled. Too expensive? Buy the powered form in bulk. Trying to be healthy? Select over 20 different teas that are low-calorie or enriched with antioxidants and herbal benefits. Lipton will have something just for you.
